Tips to Increase Your Physical Activity

If you cannot seem to have time to do some physical activity, below are some ideas to help you increase your physical activity without too much effort:
  • Use the stairs instead of the elevator.
  • Park your car in a spot far away from work/the place you are going to when you are out for appointments or running errands.
  • Get a pedometer or download a pedometer application on your smart phone. You can put targets for your steps so you can achieve them during the day!
  • While watching TV, walk in place, walk on your treadmill or do light exercises.
  • Do housework like cleaning, vacuuming and mopping the floors.
  • Plant and maintain your garden.
  • Take a walk. Ask a friend to come along for company to make it more enjoyable.
  • Walk your dog.
  • Play with the kids or grandkids.
  • Dance to music you love.
  • Ride a bike. You are never too old to learn or re-learn!
  • Go Bowling!
  • Go to the beach!
  • Join a gym or use an exercise DVD in your own home.
