Our inpatient care at the St Georges University Medical Center has been established around 40 years ago as the first psychiatric care unit within a general hospital in Lebanon and the region.

It is best characterized by an integrative approach of various medical specialties, coordinating with the psychiatric and psychological inpatient treatments for all age groups.

We offer individualized quality care in a private and comfortable setting combining service excellence and medical care within a leading academic institution. 

Our facility offers first class evidence based mental health care (intensive pharmacotherapy, intensive psychotherapy (including DBT, CBT, and MET), electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and new treatment modalities (such as ketamine infusion)) as well as excellent medical care (cardiology, neurology, surgery, obstetrics, etc… ).

In addition our inpatient facility provides 24 hour around the clock care by qualified nursing staff and a team of psychiatry residents who work closely with all patients and their families.
